30 years ago my wife and I had stayed at a hostel in Grand Lake. We drove over the pass to Estes Park and made our way to the H-Bar-G Ranch. Once settled in our cabin, we told Lou that we wanted to hike in Rocky Mountain National Park. He informed us that the park had become really crowded. For a less crowded experience his suggestion was to walk out the gate at the back of the H-Bar-G Ranch and hike up to Crosier Mountain. He was absolutely right! We hiked all day long and saw only two people, plus the views were great!

During our stay at the H-Bar-G Ranch we met visitors from Russia, Scotland and Sweden. How I'd love to do it all again!
