Been many years since we have seen each other but the other night I had a dream that I was back in Estes enjoying a fantastic summer day at our family home in the North End and we were having neighbors over and Lou and Anne were there along with several other people. It was a happy dream that I woke up smiling after.
That got me wondering whatever became of your beautiful ranch and I found this site and must say it is great you are preserving the impact the ranch has had on so many and a fitting nod to the memory of Lou and the many lives that were touched by his efforts and the ranch.
The first time I skied Vail was as your houseguest over at Chamonix Chalets and I remember that weekend well, I was hooked and as you know, made Vail my home about six years later.
I have not been back to Estes in many years, my time there was so perfect and simple I kind of prefer to leave it that way, but admit lately I am getting the urge to go home again, at least for a weekend.
