Very Sad to hear that Lou has passed away. I spent a good part of the summer of '87 staying there and working as a short order cook in the town. I borrowed a push bike to ride in to town and back – hard work riding back up the hill.
I remember Lou picking every one up in his deuce and a half and the amazement on their faces! Also remember Lou telling me about the time he shot his first deer. A big one – trouble was he shot it at the bottom of the hill and then spent all day getting it back up the hill.
Said he learnt his lesson and always made sure that he shot at the top of the hill!
