I went to H-Bar-G Ranch in the late '40s and '50s with my family and family friends. I was a little boy and loved every minute of my time there. Horseback riding, hiking by myself and my .22 rifle, special times with family, Helen Gates, parents partying, family style meals starting with the ring of a big bell, fires in the lodge fireplace, bowling in Estes Park... it was a boys dream, with memories I've never forgotten and never will. Our current cabin in Estes park helps keep me connected to those special times.
